Associate of Theology
The Associate of Theology degree will be awarded those students who, upon recommendation of the faculty, complete a partial program of the educational goals of the Institute. It requires the completion of 60 semester units in the Theology major with at least a 2.5 grade point average. Entrance into the program requires a high school diploma or its equivalency.
Associate of Christian Education
The Associate of Christian Education degree will be awarded those students who, upon recommendation of the faculty, complete a partial program of the educational goals of the Institute. It requires the completion of 60 semester units in the Christian Education major with at least a 2.0 grade point average. Entrance into the program requires a high school diploma or its equivalency.
Bachelor of Theology
The Theology program is offered to develop and prepare the student who has surrendered to God’s call of ministry leadership, whether pastoral or missionary-oriented. It gives him the opportunity to devote full time to study and allow him the benefit of gleaning from those who have varied experiences in the ministry.
The student who enrolls in this program will have a Bible Interpretation major with a Bible Language minor. The program requires the completion of 120 semester hours.
The student must manifest promise of usefulness in the Gospel ministry, exhibit consistent Christian character, and evidence sound theological convictions in accordance with the school’s Doctrinal Statement.
The Bachelor of Theology degree will be awarded to those who, upon recommendations of the faculty, complete the prescribed curriculum with a grade point average of 2. 5 or better and an acceptable thesis of at least 15,000 words on an approved subject.
Bachelor of Christian Education
The Christian Education program is designed to prepare the student for various phases of Christian service. The goal for the completion of this course of study is to develop those skills needed to fulfill a calling to a life of Christian service.
The Christian Education program offers four years of preparation for service in the teaching ministry, including youth and Sunday School work, and the writing ministry.
The student who enrolls in this program will have a Bible Interpretation major with a Christian Education minor. The program requires the completion of 120 semester hours.
The student must manifest promise of usefulness in the Gospel ministry, exhibit consistent Christian character, and evidence sound theological convictions in accordance with the school’s Doctrinal Statement.

1. Earned a Bachelor of Theology degree and maintained a grade point average
of 2.5 or better through their undergraduate studies.

subject. The Master’s thesis must reflect a mastery of the subject selected

A Doctor of Theology or Doctor of Philosophy in Christian Education will be awarded those students who have been elected by the faculty and recommended by the school trustees to First Missionary Baptist Church of Fresno to pursue the advanced degree. Doctoral degree programs require an additional number of courses in the graduate level above the Master’s program. An Advisory Council will be chosen among those on the faculty with earned doctorates.

1. Earned a Master of Theology degree and maintained a grade point average
of 3.5 or better in their graduate studies

program.
